Oyster shell flour is a great addition to the worm bin. It is high in calcium and great for the worm's gizzard. The gizzard helps the worm process food.
Oyster shell flour also helps to balance the pH in worm bins that use peat moss. Also, it can be used in your homemade potting mix with your worm castings to balance the pH of the potting mix.
This flour is ground to a fine powder making it readily available for baby worms.
Add a light dusting of oyster shell flour when feeding your worms every 2 weeks.

The worms seem to really love it. I used it for the first time with breadcrumbs and they can't get enough of it. It was a full-on worm party that has lasted for days now. I applied it to the surface and ever since there has been a massive amount of worm activity 4-5 worm balls with a solid covering of worms all across the surface. I almost hate to break up the party when I do the next feeding since that is normally done below the surface.
